The programme of the GUERNSEY FILM FEST is curated and selected by the Festival organisers, who choose each film with the utmost care and consideration.
With one clearly identified exception, all films in the Festival programme are selected solely by the Festival organisers. Delimited IT Solutions selects one film each year, which is clearly marked as the Delimited IT Solutions selection within the official Festival programme.
The Mallard Cinema does not select or influence the Festival programme. Its role is to host and screen the films as part of the Festival.
The views, themes and content expressed in each film are those of the respective filmmakers and rights holders. Each film is presented as part of the Festival programme in recognition of its artistic and/or cinematic contribution, and its inclusion does not represent an endorsement of its views or content by Delimited IT Solutions, The Mallard Cinema or the Festival organisers.
In Guernsey, as in any democracy, freedom of expression is a fundamental right protected by the Human Rights (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2000. This includes the freedom to express, receive and share ideas and information. The Festival organisers exercise this freedom through their independent curation and selection of films, which they undertake with care and consideration as part of the Festival’s programme.
